The secrets we whisper to each other now are so different than the arguments we had as children. It no longer matters if the room is clean or where we keep our stuff. We once shared the uncertainty of growing up and now wonder how the time flew by so quickly.

We share our hopes and dreams, struggles and pain in the few stolen moments we are able to capture from our busy lives. Our lives are enriched with other women who share the joys of sisterhood without the bond of siblings. These may be our in-laws, our friends, even our daughters and nieces as they grow before our eyes. As women, we nurture life . . . whether we bore it within our body or bear it within our hearts. One word says it all. Sisters. The sacred bond lasts beyond the fleeting time on earth.
