Star light, star bright, first star I see tonight.

I wish I may, I wish I might know the wonders beyond the light.

As I peer into the star-filled Milky Way, the limitlessness of what I see elicits feelings of such smallness. What is my place in this grand universe when I am so dwarfed by the night sky?

Surely, others have the same thoughts, the same feelings as I do this night. Perhaps those wondering are on another planet far away.

Maybe we, upon this tiny, blue planet, are alone in the vastness of the Universe placed here by the creator of the all I behold… and maybe we are not. Look at the Pleiades cluster within this star-filled sky. I stand in awe that the images my eyes see were projected 400 years ago. And if there is someone on the other side of this vast star cluster watching me watch them, then past, present and future converge in one sacred moment.
