The perfect symmetry of nature can be seen in the middle of this flower with droopy lavender petals.  The beauty of the single close-up of the purple Cone flower is enhanced a thousand-fold when you step back and enjoy an abundance of these versatile plants.  Almost never do you see just one Cone flower sprouting from the fertile ground.  The seeds scattered across the land produce a profusion of long stemmed flowers that sway gently with the breeze.  The hardiness of this drought-resistant flower can be transferred to a tincture or tea used by those knowledgeable in herbal remedies.  The specially-prepared brews are believed by many to strengthen the immune system and prevent such illnesses as the cold and flu.  Nature creates both beauty and health benefits in one simple plant.
